From search to keysHousing Deposits
Security and utility deposits, essential furnishings and medically necessary household items — up to $5,000 per member, once. The cost that stops most approvals from becoming keys.
What it coversHousing Tenancy & Sustaining Services
Staying housed is its own skill set. Tenant education, budgeting, landlord mediation, eviction prevention and ongoing links to health and social services long after move-in day.
Keeping the keysDay Habilitation
Life skills taught where you live — cooking, budgeting, public transit, self-advocacy, benefits, managing a landlord — through a peer-mentoring model.

Physical changes that make a home safe to live in — ramps, grab bars, stair lifts, wider doorways, accessible showers — so members can stay independent and out of a nursing facility.
What's coveredTransitional Rent
Six months of rent, storage and move-in fees for members leaving institutional care, custody, interim housing or the child welfare system, with a qualifying behavioral health need.
Eligibility & contactUnited Mental Health Promoters
Trained community members — neighbors, not strangers — who cut stigma, run workshops in the language people think in, and link residents to county mental health care.
Workshops & referralsNot sure whether you qualify? You probably do more often than you'd think, and finding out is free. Health plans, hospitals, probation and shelters can refer directly.
